A couple days ago I did a poll over on my different social media accounts asking which editing style everyone liked better. At the end of the poll instagram said in color and facebook chose black & white. I love your feedback so in the future ill be giving my friends on insta more colors! And facebook more artsy black & whit!
After that fun I thought it would be fun to share a little behind the scenes of those same Verdant Everyday editing presets from the poll. You don't have to be a professional photographer to use them. This is actually the same way I edit most of my cel phone pictures as well! Its a nice little way to give your images a cohesive look.
Traditionally when I am editing photos I go back and forth between these 2 Everyday Edits: an in color version and a black & white.
To let you see the transformation Im sharing a never seen before: straight out of the camera shot! (or SOOTC)

Here is my most used in color or “Everyday” preset:
Up to 1 stop higher (this specific picture was only .25) in Lightroom or most editing apps it is called Exposure.
+5 contrast
-25 highlights
+5 shadows
-25 whites
+5 blacks
+15 Clarity
+5 Vibrancy
+35 Sharpening
-1 Dehaze
(All of these edits are found in most photo softwares.)
TADA!

My other favorite preset and used to make things look extra artsy is my Every day B&W (black & white) edit:
Up to 1 stop higher
+25 contrast
-25 highlights
+5 shadows
-25 whites
+5 blacks
+25 Clarity
+5 Vibrancy
-100 Saturation
+35 Sharpening
-1 Dehaze
Are you ready? ENJOY!

There you go! This is some never shared before behind the scenes photography tips! While there are still quite a few tricks up my editors sleeve these are the features I literally use EVERYDAY!! Do you have a preference in edits? Let me know which one and why!
