While 2020 has been filled with all kinds of ups and downs. One of the best parts of the year is all the ways people have banned together to make the world a little brighter for those around us. My favorite bright spot from 2020 is all the sunflowers! Our community exploded with blooms that looked like rays sunshine! From local farmers to my home away from home opening their fields to share some joy.
The Mendota Hills Campground Family did just that! From the owners opening their field, to the farmers that took the time to plow, plant and water bags of tiny little seeds that grew into a meadow of light! Over the summer we watched tiny little sprouts pop up and bud. They were the talk of the town! By the end of August they bloomed rays of sunshine that greeted everyone who drove by.
Then the campground opened their doors with open arms to anyone wanting to capture their beautiful family in this happy spot. Verdant was able to host a weekend of mini sessions and I was blown away with the turn out. We captured some incredible memories! From families who had never taken a picture together, others celebrated engagements, there were new babies, fur babies, and so much more! Here is just a tiny peek into this amazing weekend!
